First Saturdays of Five Consecutive Months Promise |
On December 10, 1925, Lucy, the oldest of the Fatima visionaries was kneeling in
prayer in a convent chapel. Suddenly the Blessed Mother and the Christ Child appeared,
bearing a wonderful message for all souls. The Child Christ spoke first: "Have pity on the heart of your Most Holy Mother. It is covered with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to remove them with an act of reparation." A heart encircled with sharp thorns was in the hand of the Blessed Mother who said to Lucy, "My child, behold my heart encircled with the thorns which ungrateful men place therein at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console me. Announce in my name that I promise to assist at the hour of death with all my graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary, and keep me company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me." |

With the intention of making reparation to Mary's Immaculate Heart, keep Our Lady company for 15 minutes, meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary. What you stand to receive, following this devotion: At the hour of your death, the Blessed Virgin Mary promises to assist you with all the graces necessary for salvation. |
